"Tamaris" nursery is set up on the total area of 10 hectares. You can find over 110.000 seedlings of different forms and ages. The nursery applies the most intensive production technologies of planting material. At this very moment there are over 150 varieties and under variety forms of decorative trees and shrubs.

Employees take constant care of present planting material, its assortment and its distribution. They regularly bring new forms in from all parts of the world: Europe, Asia, America, some varieties are even brought in from Australia. The most recent example, which speaks to that power, is the new seedling of maidenhair tree. There are four forms of this today very interesting variety (Maidenhair tree "Pendula", Maidenhair tree "Marieke", Maidenhair tree "Horizontalis" and Maidenhair tree "Tit").
Irrigation and drainage systems are placed on the entire area of the nursery, as well as the line of communications. About 90% of the total road and pathway length in the nursery is asphalted, while every seedling is connected to irrigation system.
Production is based on vegetative reproduction, however a small amount of seedlings are produced from seeds (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana, Quercus robur, etc). The process of reproduction is done with ripe or green cuttings, while the grafting, as a special way of vegetative reproduction, is applied to certain forms. This way of reproduction is primarily applied to production of planting material, like Fraxinus excelsior ' Globosa', F. excelsion 'Pendula', A. platanoides 'Globosa' , A. platanoide 'Faasens Black', Salix repanda 'Kilmarnock', Caragana arborescens 'Pendula', Morus alba 'Pendula ' and other.
The nursery has a parent material in its possession in order to produce cuttings. It is being expanded on everyday basis with new varieties and forms. Therefore the production of cuttings and planting material is of a great importance for the region and even further.
