In October 2004, professors of faculty of Forestry in Japan, Hideo Sakai and Takuyuki Yoshioka were in a one-day visit to Tamaris nursery.

While visiting the nursery, the professors were informed about the methods of planting material production, as well as about the most important sorts and forms of the planting material. On that occasion, the importance of the nursery for perseverance of the biodiversity of the park dendroflora is particularly emphasized, as well as the unique forms of planting material, such as Ginko biloba ‘Pendula’, ‘Marieke', ‘Tit', and 'Horizontalis', and the unique forms of cherry Cerasus serrulata 'Kiku Shidare Sakura' originating from Japan.

The first contacts and directions towards cooperation between Forestry faculties in Tokyo and Banja Luka, and Tamaris nursery, were achieved by this visit. This visit is the result of the successful cooperation between Forestry faculty in Banja Luka and Tamaris company.
